The CRAFT Consortium, consisting of various organizations including RespectFarms, Wageningen University & Research, and Mosa Meat, has announced a groundbreaking project to establish the world's first cultivated meat farm in the Netherlands. This initiative aims to help farmers diversify their businesses by integrating cultivated meat technology into existing farms, demonstrating that cellular agriculture can coexist with traditional agriculture.

With the support of EIT Food, the project has been awarded a grant of €2 million out of a €4 million grant request. By combining expertise from different consortium members, such as scientific leadership from Wageningen University & Research and product development strategy from Mosa Meat and Aleph Farms, the project seeks to deliver consumers the best of both worlds: the experience of real meat through locally produced and sold products. Through this innovative approach, CRAFT hopes to revolutionize the agriculture sector and create new opportunities for farmers worldwide.
