VFC Foods, a UK-based vegan food company, is undergoing a corporate separation from The Vegan Food Group (VFG) as co-founder Adam Lyons re-enters the business to oversee operations. Despite facing financial pressure and accumulating losses since its launch, VFC Foods is becoming an independent entity funded jointly by Lyons and the Ahimsa Foundation. The separation has led to the closure of production sites, redundancies, and the shutdown of Clive’s Purely Plants bakery, resulting in the loss of 32 jobs.

In response to concerns around ultra-processed ingredients, VFC brand products have been temporarily removed from shelves for reformulation. Despite these challenges, Meatless Farm, another brand under VFC Foods' control, continues to be stocked in major UK supermarkets. Lyons remains focused on stabilizing operations, finance, and commercial delivery, aiming to drive improved operational performance and reposition VFC for a relaunch in 2027 with a focus on addressing UPF concerns.
