Cow’s Milk Alternative for Infants: Nūmi Raises €3M to Develop Cell-Cultivated Breast Milk

French startup Nūmi has secured €3 million in pre-seed funding to develop cell-cultured breast milk as an alternative to cow’s milk for infants. With a mission to revolutionize the infant nutrition industry, Nūmi aims to provide a solution for women who are unable or unwilling to breastfeed, as 70% of women face challenges with breastfeeding or opt not to breastfeed. By using a cell culture platform that replicates human breast milk in bioreactors, Nūmi aims to provide infants with the essential nutrients and components found in breast milk that are crucial for their growth and development.
