French dairy giant Danone has agreed to acquire Made Group, the Australian owner of popular plant-based yoghurt brand Cocobella. This acquisition is part of Danone's strategy to focus on health trends such as protein and gut health, as well as expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Made Group is the parent company of multiple brands, including Cocobella, Rokeby, Impressed, NutrientWater, and The Collective.

The agreement is subject to regulatory approvals and marks Danone's fourth acquisition in less than 14 months. With a focus on gut health and protein, the acquisition of Made Group is expected to enhance Danone's growth prospects in Asia-Pacific. Made Group has recorded sales of over €300M ($343M) for the fiscal year ending June 2026, indicating strong financial performance which will make a meaningful contribution to Danone's Essential Dairy Products business in the region.
