Detroit’s Vegan Pop-Up Street Beet to Permanently Close This Month

After four successful years of serving up crave-worthy vegan street fare and building a loyal community of customers, Detroit-based vegan pop-up Street Beet is set to permanently close this month. Chefs Nina Paletta and Meghan Shaw have decided to move on to new chapters in their lives after operating out of various bar and restaurant kitchens across the city. The duo expressed gratitude to their customers for their support and for making Street Beet a success, with a heartfelt message on the company's Facebook page.

Known for their Fake Chicken offerings, including the popular OG Sando fried chicken sandwich, Street Beet has become a go-to spot for cruelty-free fast-food favorites. Diners have enjoyed a variety of menu choices, from the Infamous Bowl to vegan nachos and loaded fries. As a final farewell, Street Beet will be offering its last two weeks of business in February, giving fans a chance to enjoy their delicious vegan eats one last time.
