The platform is operated by Reading Scientific Services Ltd (RSSL), a contract research and product development organization based in the UK. It is funded by Coefficient Giving, a philanthropic organization that supports farm animal welfare work and alternatives to animal-based foods. The arrival of EggsChange reflects a shift in the industry towards using alternatives to eggs in food manufacturing, highlighting the changing times in the global food industry.
