Dutch poultry producer Plukon Food Group has acquired local meat-free startup Vega Insiders to expand its alternative protein offerings. Vega Insiders, known for its plant-based kebabs, bacon, and falafels, will continue operating under its own name with all employees retained. The acquisition aligns with Plukon's strategy to integrate plant-based product development expertise and enhance its product diversity in the alternative protein market.
