E.Leclerc Launches Major New Plant-Based Line  

French hypermarket chain E.Leclerc has launched a new budget-friendly plant-based line called Végé, offering a range of vegan foods aimed at making plant-based options more accessible to consumers in France. The line includes 45 items such as falafels, vegan mince, sausages, and desserts, priced competitively with meat and dairy products in supermarkets.

While initially slow to embrace veganism compared to neighboring countries, France has seen rapid growth in plant-based options in recent years. E.Leclerc's new plant-based line aims to cater to both vegans and vegetarians, as well as those looking to incorporate more plant foods into their diet. With 720 locations in France and 85 stores outside the country, the hypermarket chain is strategically positioning the Végé line across multiple sections of their shops.
