The experience was difficult for Lynch, who witnessed firsthand the crowded, unsanitary conditions in which 95% of chickens raised for slaughter in the UK are kept. She was appalled by the suffering and neglect she saw, including chickens living in cramped spaces, covered in sores, and cannibalizing each other.

The visit left Lynch feeling guilty and saddened by the relentless cruelty these animals endure. She highlighted the dangers associated with factory farming, such as the spread of infectious diseases, environmental destruction, and the unnecessary suffering of animals.
