Falmouth University students win Veganuary art competition

Falmouth University students recently participated in a Veganuary art competition, showcasing their talent in illustrating the climate benefits of a vegan diet. The competition invited third-year students from the BA (Hons) Illustration programme to submit their pieces, with Abby Mundell emerging as the winner and Jenna French as the runner-up. Both artworks effectively highlighted the environmental impact of meat and dairy consumption while promoting plant-based eating as a positive alternative.

Abby Mundell's winning piece focused on the health benefits of a plant-based diet without resorting to scaremongering. In contrast, Jenna French's submission emphasized the detrimental impact of our actions on the natural world and the potential for positive change through initiatives like Veganuary. The students' artworks not only raised awareness about the climate crisis but also encouraged viewers to consider adopting a vegan lifestyle for the betterment of the environment.
