Faunalytics Launches AI Tool to Search Its Animal Advocacy Research Library

Faunalytics, a nonprofit research organization, has launched The Lens, a free AI-powered tool that allows animal advocates to search through its research library in plain language. With over 6,000 entries, The Lens provides synthesized answers with citations linking back to the underlying studies, making the research more accessible for advocates who may not have time to manually search the archive.

Unlike general-purpose AI chatbots, The Lens exclusively draws from Faunalytics's research library and related resources. The tool prioritizes recent studies, flags conclusions based on older or limited data, and notes regional caveats when relevant. Developed by Kyle Behrend and Karol Orzechowski of Faunalytics, The Lens does not require an account or sign-up to use and provides a way for advocates and researchers to query the organization's body of work without the need for manual searching.
