Figs in Blankets: Oat Milk Chocolate Wins Festive Competition by Amazon & The King’s Trust

British brand H!P won a festive competition organized by Amazon and The King’s Trust with their unique oat milk chocolate creation. The winning bar, called Figs in Blankets, features a 41% cocoa base infused with chopped dates, figs, and a vegan bacon flavoring, all inspired by a British Christmas classic. The limited-edition chocolate bars are now available for sale on Amazon, with at least 15% of the proceeds being donated to The King’s Trust.

The competition was open to young people supported by The King’s Trust, and the winning submission by Brazilian illustrator Louise Coutinho challenged H!P to create a vegan bacon-infused chocolate. Despite initial hesitance, the unique flavor combination was praised by judges, including James Cadbury and Levi Roots. The collaboration resulted in a whimsical packaging design featuring Coutinho's signature smiley face illustration, reflecting her theme of creating visuals that bring joy and happiness.
