UNCAGED Innovations has announced that five fashion brands have incorporated its plant-based leather, ELEVATE, into their luxury products. These brands include Melina Bucher, Watch and Strap, Kaila Katherine, Via Gallo, and LOUÉ Studio. ELEVATE is a biomaterial alternative to leather made from grain byproducts, which significantly reduces companies' carbon footprints and emits fewer greenhouse gases compared to traditional leather production.

The five brands are all members of The Collective, a group of partners chosen by UNCAGED Innovations for their commitment to reducing the use of animal products in manufacturing. The company raised $5.6 million in seed funding in 2024 to bring its leather alternative to market. UNCAGED Innovations has also partnered with Hyundai and Natalie Portman to promote sustainable alternatives to traditional leather. CEO Stephanie Downs expressed pride in working with brands that are embracing a new way of thinking about the responsibility of the luxury industry and proving that luxury can evolve without losing its soul.
