Flora Announces ‘Plant-Based First’ Smoked Garlic Butter Block

Flora has introduced a new plant-based smoked garlic flavor butter block, which is believed to be the first of its kind in the category. The limited edition Flora Smoked Garlic has been in development for 12 months and has 78 percent less climate impact than dairy butter. It is suitable for use in pasta dishes and garlic mushrooms, catering to the UK's love for garlic in food.

Flora has transitioned from using butter in its spreads to becoming a fully vegan brand in response to the growing dairy-free market. The brand launched a campaign called "skip the cow" to encourage people to think about their consumption of dairy, highlighting the environmental and ethical impacts of the dairy industry. The new Flora Smoked Garlic butter block will be available in 250 select Sainsbury's stores in the UK from September 29 at an RRP of £1.75.
