Flottweg Separation Technology will be hosting the Spin Academy: Protein Applications workshop in Kentucky in March 2026. The two-day event will focus on plant-based protein processing, targeting professionals in food processing, protein ingredient development, and manufacturing operations. Participants will receive hands-on experience with separation equipment such as decanter centrifuges and belt presses, with a focus on technical challenges in producing high-yield, high-purity protein ingredients from crops like peas, lentils, and soy.

Scheduled speakers include industry experts in grain processing and plant-based science, with session topics covering system design, purification techniques, and valorization of fiber and starch. The event aims to provide targeted insights for food processors and manufacturers looking to enhance their plant-based protein processing capabilities. Attendance is limited to around 25 industry professionals, and registration is now open for companies interested in participating in this event.
