Food News of the Week: Heinz Gravy, Daniel Humm’s Algae Oil, and Meatless Korean BBQ Wings at Wegmans

Heinz has expanded its gravy product line to include three new vegetarian flavors, catering to consumers looking for plant-based options for the holiday season. Chef Daniel Humm, in collaboration with Algae Cooking Club, has introduced two new infused oils made from algae oil that add a Michelin-starred twist to everyday dishes. Additionally, Blackbird Foods' meatless plant-based wings, made from seitan, are now available at Wegmans in Buffalo and Korean BBQ flavors.

In other food news, Doughlicious has launched gelato bites at Target, Good Foods has introduced dairy-free nacho cheese dip at select locations, and Swap Foods has released "Swap Chicken" as a plant-based alternative to traditional chicken. Bitchin' Sauce is now available in bulk for foodservice operations, and Next Level Burger and Veggie Grill are offering a plant-based Holiday Feast for the upcoming holiday season.
