French plant-based meat producer Nxtfood has raised €49 million in funding to support its expansion across Europe. The company, known for its ACCRO brand of meat alternatives, has experienced significant growth in the market by offering products made from locally sourced wheat and pea proteins. Nxtfood plans to use the funding to increase production capacity, invest in research and development, and boost sales and marketing efforts in France and beyond. With a goal of achieving profitability by 2026, the company aims to double its revenue in 2025.

The fundraising round was led by existing investors Creadev and Roquette Ventures, with new partners Clay Capital and IRD Invest coming on board to support Nxtfood's growth. The company's commitment to sustainability is reflected in its B-Corp recertification, highlighting its focus on responsible business practices. Nxtfood's CEO expressed optimism about the company's future and its ability to align industrial growth with commercial success, while maintaining a strong focus on environmental and social goals.
