Friends & Family Pet Food Co. Receives Regulatory Approval for Cultivated Pet Food in Singapore

Friends & Family Pet Food Co., a U.S.-based company, has received regulatory approval to sell their cultivated meat-based pet food in Singapore. This approval makes them the first cultivated meat pet food producer to be approved for sale in Asia. Their first products will be freeze-dried treats for cats and dogs, made with human-grade cultivated poultry and containing prebiotic fibers for gut health and immunity.

The company plans to initially launch eight SKUs in Singapore, with all manufacturing taking place locally. Friends & Family aims to improve the protein in the pet food supply chain by offering cultivated meat products with higher levels of nutrients, better digestibility, and nutrient absorption. They believe that their products will provide "much better meat" for cats and dogs, with plans to introduce additional products in the future.
