Ghirardelli has introduced a new vegan option to its product line, the Non-Dairy Dark Chocolate Baking Chips. These chocolate chips are made with 52% cacao, cane sugar, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, and vanilla extract. This marks the brand's first intentional plant-based option, catering to consumers looking to reduce their dairy intake or for plant-based chocolate alternatives.

Currently, Ghirardelli only offers one other vegan option, the Intense Dark 72% Cacao Dark Chocolate bar. While the new vegan chocolate chips are a step in the right direction, consumers can also explore ethical vegan chocolate brands that prioritize sustainability and ethical cacao production. The Non-Dairy Dark Chocolate Baking Chips are now available in the baking aisle at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $5.99.
