Gordon Ramsay Says He ‘Absolutely’ Loves Vegan Food

Chef Gordon Ramsay recently expressed his love for vegan food during a conversation with plant-based content creator Alfie Steiner at Ramsay's Lucky Cat restaurant in East London. Ramsay mentioned that the restaurant offers three plant-based staples, including vegetable maki rolls, tom kha noodles, and miso glazed gochujang aubergine. Despite traditionally containing chicken and fish sauce, Ramsay praised Lucky Cat's tom kha noodles for being standalone good without the addition of animal protein.

Although Ramsay stated that he is not planning to adopt a fully vegan diet, he has become an unexpected advocate for plant-based eating. On a recent episode of Masterchef, he admitted to loving vegan food after previously being critical of dishes without animal products. Additionally, Ramsay participated in a TikTok "vegan challenge" for his BBC show Future Food Stars and starred in an ad for dairy-free butter brand Flora, encouraging home cooks to try sustainable alternatives.
