Gulfood 2026 has introduced Gulfood Startups, a platform aimed at helping early-stage food technology companies expand internationally. Over 250 startups across different segments of the food industry will participate in the upcoming edition of Gulfood, engaging with buyers, investors, distributors, and policy stakeholders within the event's ecosystem. The World Agri-FoodTech Startup Challenge, organized in partnership with DMCC and IMEAA, will offer startups the opportunity to compete for a combined prize pool of USD 135,000, focusing on innovation, scalability, market relevance, and environmental impact.

The platform also includes the Gulfood Investor Programme, which will enable introductions between capital partners and startup participants. By connecting high-potential startups with international markets, investors, and commercial partners, Gulfood Startups aims to create a transaction-focused venue for early-stage deal-making. With thousands of exhibitors from nearly 200 countries expected to participate in Gulfood 2026, the event offers a unique opportunity for startups to showcase their innovations and connect with key players in the global food industry.
