French plant-based meat producer HappyVore is aiming to set a Guinness World Records title for the largest plant-based barbecue gathering in Paris on June 29. The event will take place at Ground Control in the city’s 12th arrondissement, with doors opening at 7pm and the record attempt beginning at 7:30pm. Participants will be served from HappyVore’s barbecue range, including chipolatas and merguez-style sausages, with a minimum eating time of 30 minutes required for the record to be confirmed.

Founded in 2019 and rebranded to HappyVore in 2021, the company has expanded beyond meat-style products to include pea protein ham alternatives and dessert-inspired snacks. HappyVore operates France’s largest plant-based meat production facility, and the record attempt is being promoted as a public celebration rather than a private company milestone. Registration for the event is free, and capacity is limited, with participants directed to the company’s event registration page to secure spots for the gathering.
