Humans ‘Milked’ Outside Tate Modern in Dairy Protest

Five female humans participated in a performance art demonstration outside the Tate Modern in London, appearing to be "milked" by machines to bring attention to the exploitation of dairy cows. The event, titled "Dairy Is Not Human(e)", aimed to challenge speciesism and highlight the ethical implications of using animals as commodities in the dairy industry. Samples of oat milk labeled as "Human(e) Milk" were available for the public to try, sparking conversations and increasing awareness about the cruelty inherent in dairy production.

By replacing cows with female humans in the demonstration, the organizers made the suffering of animals more visible and accessible to the public. The use of human bodies pushed the boundaries of advocacy for animals and successfully prompted some people to consider going vegan on the spot. The demonstration's strategic location outside the Tate Modern, a renowned art institution, served as a backdrop for challenging societal norms and promoting compassion towards all living beings.
