Impossible Foods has launched its first-ever plant-based steak product, the Impossible Steak Bites, which were introduced at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California. These pre-cut and pre-cooked Steak Bites have a "succulent meaty flavor" and 21 grams of protein per portion, along with fiber, iron, and B vitamins. The plant-based steak has a tender texture similar to traditional beef and comes pre-seasoned with herbs and spices, making it a versatile cooking ingredient for various dishes.

According to Peter McGuinness, the president and CEO of Impossible Foods, the Steak Bites are not only delicious but also offer nutritional benefits, containing 80 percent less saturated fat than traditional beef-based sirloin and zero cholesterol. Additionally, the plant-based bites require significantly less land, water, and produce fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to animal-based meat products. The Steak Bites will be available in US grocery stores and certain restaurants in the coming months, catering to meat-eaters and flexitarians seeking sustainable and nutritious plant-based alternatives.
