Ingredion EMEA Launches Clean-Label Citrus Fibres That Can Replace Eggs, Oils, & More

Ingredion EMEA has introduced two new clean-label citrus fibre ingredients, FIBERTEX® CF 500 and FIBERTEX® CF 100, in the EMEA region. These minimally processed ingredients, made from upcycled citrus peels, offer properties such as viscosity, gelling, emulsion, and texture stability, allowing them to partially or fully replace ingredients such as eggs, oils, tomato solids, and more in a variety of applications, including meat and dairy alternatives, baked goods, and savoury products. By using these fibres, brands can reduce or replace less consumer-accepted ingredients while still maintaining great taste and texture.

The new citrus fibres cater to the increasing demand for clean-label foods, with 99% of European manufacturers considering clean-label products fundamental to their business strategy and 79% of consumers valuing ingredient recognizability. Ingredion's FIBERTEX citrus fibres, along with their NOVATION functional native starches, provide a natural and functional solution for brands looking to offer naturally sourced, consumer-preferred ingredients that support clean labels, packaging claims, and sustainability goals, while providing value for money.
