Italian Vegan Cheese Startup Brings Mozzarella, Stracciatella & More to France

Italian vegan cheese startup Dreamfarm has launched its almond and cashew-based non-dairy cheeses in supermarkets across the Paris area, marking its entry into the French market. The company, founded in 2021, offers plant-based alternatives to classic Italian cheeses like mozzarella, ricotta, and stracciatella, all with a Nutri-Score A rating. The expansion into France comes as the country's vegan cheese market is growing rapidly, with sales increasing by 19% in 2024.

Dreamfarm's products are now available in around 70 Monoprix stores, aiming to cater to a wide range of consumers including flexitarians, vegans, and food-curious individuals. Despite the challenges of price and market share, the company is confident in the quality of its cheeses, which have received positive reviews from industry experts. The startup has previously expanded into other European countries and plans to continue its growth in more nations in the coming year.
