Ivy Farm Hires New Chief Scientific Officer as it Prepares for Commercialisation

UK cultivated meat company Ivy Farm has hired Dr. Harsh Amin as its new Chief Scientific Officer to support its R&D strategy and scale-up plans. Dr. Amin, who holds a PhD in Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine, brings over 15 years of experience in the biotechnology and biopharma industries to the role. His appointment comes as Ivy Farm prepares for commercialization and plans to open its first manufacturing plant overseas to produce at least 12,000 tonnes of cultivated meat per year.

Ivy Farm, which recently opened Europe's largest cultivated meat pilot production facility in Oxford, UK, is focusing on cultivated pork and beef products. The company has also partnered with Finnebrogue to develop cultivated wagyu beef and has raised over $30 million in funding. Dr. Amin expressed excitement about joining Ivy Farm and contributing his expertise to help scale up production and bring sustainable real meat options to consumers.
