The Japan Association for Cellular Agriculture (JACA) is organizing the Cell-Ag-READY Dialogue conference from November 13 to 14 to bring international regulatory science developments to Japan's administrative stakeholders. The event will focus on regulatory science, innovation, and communication to create a Cell-Ag-READY society, featuring lectures and panel discussions by experts from Japan and abroad.

Japan's Consumer Affairs Agency is currently developing a regulatory framework for cultivated foods, with discussions on safety procedures, risk management, and potential sales guidelines. The conference is scheduled to take place before the finalization of these guidelines, expected by the end of the fiscal year. JACA aims to align Japan's safety assessment criteria for cultivated foods with international standards, involving global experts in refining these criteria and addressing a shortage of food safety professionals in the country.
