Japan’s Dr. Foods Adds Vegan Truffle Butter to Range of Plant-Based Delicacies

Japanese food tech company Dr. Foods has introduced a new vegan truffle butter to add to its range of plant-based delicacies available for B2B distribution in Japan and internationally. Made with Italian summer truffle from Tuscany and a proprietary plant-based butter using Italian extra virgin olive oil, the truffle butter joins the company's vegan foie gras and caviar in offering alternatives to traditional delicacies.

Having already received positive feedback from tasting sessions in various countries, including the U.S., Singapore, the Netherlands, Thailand, and the UAE, Dr. Foods is now focusing on exporting its products to hotels and restaurants worldwide. Their vegan foie gras has seen successful sales in Japan, while their spinoff company Next Meats has launched plant-based options in North America and is looking to expand its international distribution, including finding a partner in Thailand for increased production and distribution.
