Joey Carbstrong Releases ‘Shocking’ Investigation Into UK Turkey Farm

Vegan activist Joey Carbstrong has released a shocking investigation into a UK turkey farm, revealing appalling conditions at Sandybank Farm in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. The footage showed dead, dying, and diseased birds suffering in cramped, unsanitary spaces, with workers seen kicking and hitting the animals. The farm, which supplies supermarkets like Tesco, Asda, Lidl, Sainsbury’s, and Morrisons, has been suspended by Red Tractor following the investigation.

Carbstrong's investigation highlighted the suffering of turkeys in UK farms, where thousands of birds are packed into overcrowded sheds, living in filthy conditions with no natural light or fresh air. Avara Foods, the company that runs the farm, claims to uphold high animal welfare standards, but footage revealed birds lying in their own excrement with workers laughing and pointing at dying birds. As awareness of the cruelty of animal farming grows, more people are choosing plant-based alternatives for their Christmas meals to avoid supporting such mistreatment.
