Juicy Marbles Plant-Based ‘Steaks’ Launch In Sainsbury’s

Juicy Marbles, a Slovenian company, has partnered with Sainsbury’s to launch its plant-based steaks in 553 stores in the UK. These whole-cut, marbled steaks are made from a mixture of soy and wheat protein, along with natural flavors, sunflower oil, and beetroot juice concentrate. Priced at £7 for a pack of two, the steaks can be used in various recipes in place of traditional beef steaks and have received praise for their taste and texture.

Since its founding in 2019, Juicy Marbles has been successful in the plant-based market, with its products also available at Waitrose, Tesco, and Whole Foods in the UK, as well as in Switzerland and Austria. In addition to launching its plant-based steaks, the company introduced "Baby Ribs" in August 2023, which come with edible "bones" and aim to provide a primal joy of sharing a rack of ribs with others. Juicy Marbles is continuing to expand its range of plant-based meat alternatives and gain popularity in the industry.
