Jumbo Launches Plant-Based Yogurts Made From Dutch-Grown Soy

Dutch supermarket chain Jumbo has launched a new range of plant-based yogurts made from soy grown in the Netherlands in partnership with the plant-based brand De Nieuwe Melkboer. The yogurts, available in three flavors, have been produced using a process that utilizes the whole soybean, resulting in a product rich in fiber and protein while also promoting efficient use of raw materials.

This initiative is part of Jumbo's commitment to offering consumers more plant-based options, with a goal of sourcing 60% of its protein offerings from plants by 2030. The retailer has also taken steps to make sustainable choices more accessible to consumers by reducing the prices of its plant-based meat products and removing gelatin from fresh pastries, replacing it with plant-based alternatives. By partnering with local farmers and food suppliers, Jumbo aims to provide customers with tasty, sustainable, high-quality products from Dutch soil, further expanding its plant-based dairy offerings in the market.
