Kickstarting for Good (K4G) has announced the opening of applications for its 2026 cohort, offering over $1 million in seed funding to graduates, which is triple the amount awarded in 2025. Graduates of the programme can receive a minimum of $10,000, with a chance to pitch for up to $100,000 in front of a jury at the Plant Food System Summit in Berlin. In addition, K4G has introduced matching grants to double any additional funding raised independently after completing the programme.

For the first time in 2026, K4G will provide development grants of up to $12,000 to promising applicants who do not make it into the full programme. This initiative aims to support high-potential ideas that need more time to develop before joining the cohort. The 18-week programme will select around 30 participants globally, focusing on non-profit initiatives within food systems, advocacy, media, law, and movement infrastructure. Applications are open until May 31st, with the programme starting in July and the first in-person session in Berlin in September.
