Nic’s On Beverly, The Gray Zebra, and Veggie Y Qué are among the latest casualties. Nic’s On Beverly, a beloved staple in the LA vegan community, announced its closure on Instagram but later reached an agreement with their landlord to remain open until further notice. Despite the challenges, owner Nic Adler is grateful for the time spent at the restaurant and is set to open a new vegan Italian restaurant, Argento, in Silver Lake this summer.

The Gray Zebra, another recent closure, bid farewell to their customers in East Hollywood after a short but impactful run. Owner Nabiha Basathia expressed gratitude for the support and hinted at a new vegan restaurant taking over the space. Additionally, Veggie Y Qué in Whittier faced lease issues and will be closing on July 16, but owner Laura Jardon remains committed to finding a new location to continue serving the community.
