Lallemand Bio-Ingredients Completes Acquisition of French Enzyme Producer Solyve

Lallemand Bio-Ingredients has completed the acquisition of Solyve, a French enzyme producer known for its high-performance enzymes used in winemaking, juice and vegetable processing, and plant-based food sectors. The acquisition is expected to enhance Lallemand's enzyme offerings for the food and beverage industry, expanding its capabilities in providing enzyme solutions for various food applications.

Founded in 1989 as Lyven S.A., Solyve specializes in enzyme production through solid-state fermentation and operates a modern facility in Normandy, France. The acquisition of Solyve is part of Lallemand Inc.'s strategy to strengthen its enzyme business, following exclusive talks to acquire Solyve and another subsidiary of French milling group Moulins Soufflet. Lars Asferg, President and General Manager of Lallemand Bio-Ingredients, stated that Solyve's expertise in enzyme solutions will further support the company's efforts to offer high-performance enzymes across a wide range of food and beverage applications.
