Landmark victory as plans for world's first octopus farm withdrawn

Plans to build the world's first commercial octopus farm in Gran Canaria, Spain, have been withdrawn, marking a significant victory for octopuses and the animal welfare movement. The proposed farm, which would have produced one million octopuses per year, sparked widespread concern due to the intelligence and solitary nature of the animals.
