Liberation Bioindustries has restructured its leadership team, with co-founder Etan Bendheim becoming the Chief Executive Officer and Mark Warner transitioning to the Chief Technology Officer role. This change comes as the company moves closer to the operational launch of its first commercial-scale precision fermentation plant in Richmond, Indiana. The facility, with a capacity of 600,000 liters, will focus on producing bio-based materials for food, chemicals, and other industrial sectors, with over half of its production capacity already committed or in advanced negotiations.

The company's initial production projects at the Richmond facility will include manufacturing dairy protein developed by Vivici and planning a new precision fermentation facility in Saudi Arabia in partnership with Topian. Liberation Bioindustries aims to serve a range of customers in the consumer packaged goods and industrial manufacturing sectors by offering precision fermentation capabilities at scale. Production at the Richmond plant is slated to begin in 2026, reflecting the company's commitment to executing its vision and building on its platform for future growth.
