Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) is making a significant investment in a new oilseed processing facility in Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The plant, expected to process up to 4,000 tons of sunflower seeds or soybeans per day, will be built at LDC's existing complex in Bahía Blanca and will integrate with the site's storage, logistics, and port infrastructure. This project represents one of the largest investments in Argentina by LDC in the past decade and its first greenfield development in the country during that time.

The facility will be powered by renewable biomass energy from sunflower husks to reduce operational carbon emissions. In addition to advanced automation and material handling systems, the plant will also adopt a dual-crop processing model, allowing flexibility to handle either sunflower seeds or soybeans depending on market conditions. LDC's investment in this new facility reflects its commitment to supporting Argentina's agro-industrial development and strengthening the country's export competitiveness in the region.
