M&S Confirms Major Changes To Plant Kitchen Range

M&S has confirmed significant changes to its popular Plant Kitchen range, including redesigning packaging to blend in with non-vegan products and focusing more on vegetable-based ingredients rather than vegan meats. The range will also be integrated into the store alongside meat and dairy products, rather than having its own dedicated section, in an effort to appeal to meat-eaters looking to reduce their meat consumption.


The new Plant Kitchen products include a cauliflower-based Sweet and Sour dish, a BBQ Veggie Pizza, and a mushroom bolognese, which will be available in the Pizza Dine-In deal. While some believe that placing vegan products near animal products will increase sales, others argue that vegans prefer having a separate aisle for plant-based options. The changes to the Plant Kitchen line are currently being rolled out in M&S stores.
