Malaysia’s Largest Coffee Chain Launches Vegan Menu in Partnership With Green Rebel

Malaysia's largest coffee chain, Zus Coffee, has partnered with Indonesian plant-based brand Green Rebel to introduce a vegan menu at over 200 of its outlets in Terengganu, Kelantan, and Pahang. The menu includes dishes like Nasi Rendang Padang, Rendang Spaghetti, and Creamy Mushroom & Truffle Pasta, all made with Green Rebel's mushroom and soy-based protein, or dairy-free cheese. Responding to the increasing demand for meat-free options in Malaysia, these dishes are under 200 calories each and cater to the growing interest in plant-based foods.

Green Rebel, launched in 2020, offers clean-label, whole-food, GMO-free plant-based products tailored to the Asian market. Their products have a strong nutritional profile, with high protein and fibre content, and up to 50% less saturated fat than animal-based alternatives. Beyond Indonesia, Green Rebel is also available in Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia at various food service outlets. The brand's mission is to nourish people, save animals, and protect the environment, aligning with the rise in interest in plant-based eating worldwide.
