Actor Mark Ruffalo recently appeared on JOE’s “The British Test” on YouTube, where he described Greggs' vegan sausage roll as “very good.” Along with fellow Marvel alumni Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry, Ruffalo participated in a quiz about the UK and tried British snacks, including the vegan sausage rolls.

During the taste test, Ruffalo commented that the vegan sausage roll would be great when stoned, and praised it as a good substitute for pork. Greggs introduced its vegan sausage roll in 2019, featuring a mycoprotein-based recipe from Quorn. The bakery chain has also brought back its vegan steak bake under a new name, "The Vegan Lattice (Steak-Free)," also made with Quorn's mycoprotein.
