The Co-op Live Arena in Manchester has announced that the upcoming Massive Attack concert will serve only plant-based food in an effort to promote sustainable live entertainment. This marks a notable first for the UK's largest indoor music venue, which already implements various eco-friendly initiatives such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and a zero waste-to-landfill policy.

The 23.5 thousand capacity venue will offer a dedicated plant-based menu featuring options like Vegetarian Butcher NoBeef burgers, NoChicken burgers, bao buns, hotdogs, and pizza. Massive Attack, known for their environmental activism, aims to make the upcoming gig on June 5, 2025, the first major show in Manchester to be entirely plant-based and have the lowest possible emissions. They encourage concert-goers to use public transport to further reduce pollution and create cleaner events.
