Maya’s Cookies to Open Second San Diego Location

Maya’s Cookies, a popular vegan cookie shop based in San Diego, is set to open a second location in San Marcos this spring. Founder Maya Madsen has been looking for the perfect spot for a new storefront, and found North City in San Marcos to be an ideal location with its vibrant community and vegan-friendly restaurants. The new location is expected to open in late spring at 250 North City Drive.

Madsen has been serving the San Diego community since 2015, with her first storefront opening in Grantville in 2020. Maya’s Cookies has since gained a massive online presence and ships nationwide, but the local support from the community remains strong. Madsen has been recognized for her contributions to the community, with December 4 being declared Maya’s Cookies Day in her honor and being named one of San Diego’s Top 50 Black Leaders of Influence by the San Diego Business Journal.
