Meet the Flock: Adopt a Turkey 2026

The Adopt a Turkey program is an initiative by Farm Sanctuary that allows individuals to sponsor turkeys and give them a chance at a better life. The program has been running for over 30 years and aims to bring awareness to the plight of turkeys who are often raised in factory farms and slaughtered for Thanksgiving. By sponsoring a turkey, individuals are not only helping to provide care for the animal but are also supporting Farm Sanctuary's mission of protecting farm animals and promoting compassionate living.

For the 2026 holiday season, the Adopt a Turkey program is encouraging people to meet the flock and choose a turkey to sponsor. Participants can choose from a variety of turkeys at the sanctuary and will receive updates and information about their sponsored bird throughout the year. The program is a unique way for people to celebrate Thanksgiving in a compassionate way and make a difference in the lives of farm animals. By participating in Adopt a Turkey, individuals can help create a more humane world for animals and raise awareness about the importance of treating all living beings with kindness and respect.
