Melt&Marble Brings First Fermented Lipid to Cosmetics Formulators With Marble7 Launch

Melt&Marble has launched Marble7, its first commercially available ingredient for the personal care market. This yeast-derived lipid, known as r-Saccharomyces Butter, is rich in Omega-7 and other bioactives, offering a 3-in-1 solution for skincare, makeup, and hair care formulations. The company's precision fermentation process allows for the customization of fatty acid profiles, structure, and melting behavior to meet specific performance and sensory needs of formulators.

In partnership with Covalo, a digital ingredient discovery platform, Melt&Marble aims to widen the accessibility of Marble7 among formulators and accelerate its adoption in the industry. The launch of Marble7 follows the company's Series A funding in December 2025 and is a significant step towards bringing precision-fermented designer lipids to real formulation use. The ingredient is now available commercially, offering formulators an alternative to traditional lipid ingredients with enhanced performance and sensory consistency.
