A gigantic chicken sculpture was dumped outside multiple Pret A Manger locations in London as part of Anima's £1 million "Public Accountability Campaign" to draw attention to Pret's failure to stop selling fast-growing "Frankenchickens" by 2026. Despite signing up to the Better Chicken Commitment in 2018, Pret has made no progress in phasing out these birds and instead plans to start the process in 2031, with full implementation not until 2032.

Anima is urging the public to boycott Pret until the chain takes action to transition to higher welfare breeds. In addition to the chicken sculpture, Anima has spread ads about Pret's use of fast-growing chickens in various media platforms in an effort to inform consumers and pressure Pret to make a change. Despite introducing new protein-focused menu items, including vegan options, Pret continues to rely on Frankenchickens for its products.
