Montclair, New Jersey Encourages Plant-Based Eating This March

The Montclair Township Department of Sustainability, along with Humane Montclair and Planted Society, is promoting the "Plant-Based for the Planet" initiative throughout March. This challenge encourages diners to choose plant-based options at 12 participating Montclair restaurants to decrease their carbon footprint. Customers have the opportunity to explore new plant-based dishes, such as vegan Ethiopian options and vegan pancakes, while supporting local businesses.

Local supporters of the initiative include US Senator Cory Booker and Montclair mayor Sean Spiller, among others. Diners who vote for their favorite plant-based options will have the chance to win eco-friendly prizes from sponsors. By participating in this initiative, New Jersey residents can make dining choices that align with compassionate values, support small businesses, and help the environment.
