Cultivated beef company Mosa Meat has surpassed its crowdfunding goal, raising €1.5 million in just 24 minutes and attracting over 800 new investors within a day. The campaign, which has now raised over €2.5 million, will remain open until February 25 or until the maximum funding threshold is met. The funds will be used to complete research and development, support marketing efforts, and produce the first cultivated beef burgers for sale.

Following a €40 million institutional funding round in 2024, Mosa Meat launched this crowdfunding initiative to include individual supporters in its growth. The company is moving through the regulatory approval process in the EU and Singapore, with recent milestones including the first cultivated beef tasting in Europe and an application for EU market authorization for cultivated fat. CEO Maarten Bosch expressed excitement about allowing more consumers to join the company's mission to shape the future of food.
