New 144-Seat Vegan Restaurant Fancy Plants Kitchen to Open in Chicago

Fancy Plants Kitchen, an all-vegan restaurant, is set to open in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. The menu will feature small plates and craft cocktails made from fresh, local, in-season produce by Chef Kevin Schuder. General manager McKinzie Spence, a pastry chef, will also develop a dessert selection to cater to a diverse crowd—from college students to couples seeking multiple courses and beverage pairings.

The restaurant will offer private events, community wellness classes, cooking demonstrations, and live music. Fancy Plants Kitchen will open gradually, starting with dinner service and eventually adding on lunch and coffee, along with a limited number of small events.
