A new biosolutions alliance between Denmark's Technical Institute (DTI) and North Carolina State University (NCSU) aims to develop innovative solutions for the global food industry. Formed with the support of Alfa Laval, the partnership signed a memorandum of understanding during the UN General Assembly and Climate Week NYC to focus on sustainable food technologies. Combining the strengths of Denmark's green transition and North Carolina's biotechnology hub, the collaboration aims to advance bioprocessing techniques, particularly in fermentation technologies like precision fermentation and biomass fermentation.

The partnership also aligns with Alfa Laval's new Food Application & Innovation Centre in Copenhagen, supporting food producers in developing sustainable products for industrial-scale production. By uniting Denmark and North Carolina's expertise, the initiative seeks to improve food nutrition, taste, and appeal while reducing environmental impact. The collaboration leverages resources like Alfa Laval's Innovation House to support startups working on sustainable solutions, demonstrating a commitment to finding innovative solutions for food security challenges through collective efforts.
